Summary of Accountabilities
Avionics Technical Sales will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring accurate and efficient management of quotations, contracts and customer support within our FAA Part 145 repair station.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate quotes for Avionics Installations and Modifications utilizing OEM maintenance manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, manufacturers’ installation instructions, and previous contract/quoting data
- Oversee the entire quote lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and maintenance.
- Utilize Corridor Aviation Systems Software to draft and produce customer RFQ’s.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with management team to address quote-related issues and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with internal departments to determine cost estimates and pricing strategies.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of STCs (Supplemental Type Certificates) and SBs (Service Bulletins) for reference during quoting and contract management processes.
- Organize and manage documentation related to customer contracts, quotations, and vendor communications.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, providing exceptional customer support and addressing concerns promptly.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to enhance satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Utilize Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) proficiently to create, edit, and manage documents, spreadsheets, and emails.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to contract administration, quoting processes, and general office operations.
- Various other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- 10+ years of experience working in Avionics, Aviation Industry
- 5+ years of sales, with an avionics related background
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Strong prospecting Face-to-face cold call experience with charismatic telephone skills
- Possess strong knowledge of all business and general aviation airframes
- Demonstrated prospecting and closing skills
- Ability to travel without limitations
- Possess a strong energy, motivation, enthusiasm, professional demeanor, motivated, and outstanding organizational skills
- Must possess and maintain a current and valid license
- Meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions.
- Previous experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station environment, quoting, contract administration, aviation parts sales, or customer sales/support
- Basic knowledge of FAA Part 145 repair station operations
- Familiarity with OEM maintenance manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, manufacturer’s installation instructions, etc.
- Understanding of STC, SB, Service Instruction installation data
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
Communication Skills
Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write clear, concise correspondence. Ability to effectively present information, presentations during one-on-one to customers, meeting group sizes, clients, and other employees of the organization. Good grammar and spelling skills.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
