Summary of Accountabilities
Responsible for repairs and maintenance on all ground service handling equipment, including preventative maintenance to keep machinery in top condition.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of all assigned GSE for the facility.
- Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments of ground support equipment as required.
- Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including responding to accidents involving ground support equipment and adhering to security requirements.
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery as necessary.
- Own and demonstrate proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment needed for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Keep proper logs of work, report all issues, and develop a preventative maintenance program.
- Consult with vehicle/equipment users about corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance measures.
- Fuel equipment as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
- Escort and supervise outside vendors.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- 5 or more years of mechanic/maintenance experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components
- Valid certification (ASE) preferred
- Hydraulic systems experience preferred
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on projects; occasional weekends required
- Must be able to be on-call for emergency response situations
- Must hold a valid driver’s license at all times
- Own basic hand tools

Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
