Summary of Accountabilities

Provide superior aircraft installation services to meet customer specifications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Remove and reinstall aircraft interior components for all types of aircraft.
  2. Label parts and protect all interior items once removed.
  3. Function test seats and cabinets prior to removal. Note any discrepancies as instructed.
  4. Fit and trim new cabinets to aircraft.
  5. Sheet metal work to include installation of brackets and modifications.
  6. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  7. Prepare interior components for recovering by removing covers, cleaning and sanding parts.
  8. Re-upholster aircraft components and re-install in aircraft.
  9. Responsible for repairing plastic and panels as needed.
  10. Follow Repair Station and ISO requirements.
  11. Painting of small parts
  12. Help with other miscellaneous interiors projects.
  13. Assist with facility maintenance and upkeep.
  14. Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  15. Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Sheet metal and aircraft interior installation experience required

Communication Skills

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and or aircraft blueprints.  Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Good grammar and spelling skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Frequent periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional lifting up to and over 100 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to general shop conditions.
  • Frequent exposure to airborne particles and small enclosed areas i.e. small aircraft interiors.
  • Occasional exposure to seasonal weather.
